“Rainkeep” Sculpture Campaign

The “Rainkeep” sculpture, pictured here with Brian Hatch, President of Riverwalk Arts in Allison's studio, collects rainwater in a 350 gallon collection tank that will provide irrigation to the native plants around the installation.

Riverwalk Arts is raising money to install a Rain Harvesting Sculpture titled “Rainkeep” in the Judith Robbins Park in downtown Attleboro on the banks of the Ten Mile River.

The sculpture is by local artist Allison Newsome, who has developed rain harvesting themed sculptures which have been featured in Venice, at SoHo NYC, and ‘Botanica’ in Key Largo, Florida. Each Rainkeep sculpture has a unique name that explains its purpose, the science behind its meaning, or the materials used. The 350-450 gallons of rainwater harvested show how sustainable use of the precious water resources of Attleboro can be a feature for all to enjoy as alluring art.
